ISOB patch used on hats and shirts in Ivory Coast and Liberia |
One of the most active ISOB areas is among the Liberian refugees who are residing in Cote D' Ivoire or the Ivory Coast. There are at least eight ISOB "Ps. 68:11 Bible schools" in this area. The ministry is headed up by the ISOB director who is a Liberian pastor. ISOB has brought in a tremendous spirit of unity between all denominations including Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist, Church of God of Prophecy, Evangelicals, Catholics, and others. He is truly a God called apostle in the true Biblical meaning. The participants from the various denominations gather monthly for fellowship, praise and worship, sharing and ISOB training. ISOB keeps an office, library and telephone/fax in Danane, Cote D'Ivoire. ISOB has established many discipleship locations in Liberia and in Cote D' Ivoire. We have given many Grow or Die Seminars with hundreds of participants. Many churches have been planted as a result of the activities, several in villages where there was previously no church at all. There is a wave of revival centered around the Grow or Die material and the seminars that are held. Unity between denominations is incredible! In the summer of 2000, ISOB began planting cell churches in Liberia and Cote D'Ivoire. These are mostly in unreached rural areas. In 2002 civil war drove this group back to Liberia where they survived another civil war in 2003. Now located in Monrovia, the ministry of church planting and discipleship is thriving.
