"There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself" (Proverbs 11:24,25).

God's principle of government in material things is the principle of the manna, that "he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack" (Exodus 16:18 and 2 Corinthians 8:14f). This means that if he that has gathered little is to have no lack, anyone who has gathered much must be willing to have nothing over. Some of us have proved in experienced the preciousness of this. When we bear the burden for those who gather little, God sees to it that we gather much; but if instead we think merely of our own needs, the very utmost we can hope for is to gather little and have no lack.

It is a privilege to be able to help our brethren in the Lord, even to the extent of the greater part of our income. Those who have only learned to take seldom receive; but those who have learned to give are always receiving and have always more to give. The more you spend on others, the more your income will increase; the more you try to save, the more you will be troubled by "rust" and "thieves."

Faith and believe require an action which relies totally on the faithfulness of God and His Word. Do you believe?

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness! No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon" (Matthew 6:19-24).
