The Throne of Grace

Hebrews 4 talks about our coming to the Throne of Grace. Revelation 5 also shows the Throne of God, which must be the same Throne. It is in Revelation 5 where the Lion and the Lamb is unfurling the scroll of our life. He is the only one who is worthy! "And they sang a new song: "You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation" (Revelation 5:9).

Zechariah identifies the scroll as the curse. Each time the Lamb breaks a seal, there is a major terror that takes place. " I looked again--and there before me was a flying scroll! He asked me, "What do you see?" I answered, "I see a flying scroll, thirty feet long and fifteen feet wide." And he said to me, "This is the curse that is going out over the whole land; for according to what it says on one side, every thief will be banished, and according to what it says on the other, everyone who swears falsely will be banished" (Zechariah 5:1-3).

The reason this is called the Throne of Grace is because each time an explosion takes place in our lives that is caused by our curse, the Lamb is holding the seal and the scroll. The explosion hits Him. Instead of us being destoyed His hands get bloody!

Why is He the only one who is worthy? Because if it were not the Lamb unfurling our curse, we would be destroyed.

Glory to the Lamb!
