"Come up here"

"After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, ‘Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this’" (Revelation 4:1).

We see in Revelation chapter 4 an invitation to come up and see things from a different point of view. The apostle John was the first to experience this vision, but God wants all of us to experience it. John was going through more tribulation and perplexity than most of us will ever experience in this life.

This is God's invitation to you during the painful and perplexing times of your life to come up to his Throne and see things from His point of view.

You must be born again to see the Kingdom of God (John 3:7). "..."We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God," they said" (Acts 14:22).

Notice, in Revelation Chapter 5, that the next thing we see is the Lamb. We also see something called the scroll. In the book of Zechariah the scroll is defined as the curse. Notice no one is worthy to take the curse except for the Lamb.

When we experience the curse-like explosions in our lives, we need to see them from " up here." We need to see that Jesus is holding the scroll in His hand, and as the scroll unrolls, the death of each explosion hits Him. We only experience the aftershock of them. It is only the "valley of the shadow of death."

We may feel like we are taking the brunt of the curse, but it is really Jesus who is taking it. The Kingdom of the "World" and its prince Satan uses VERY convincing lies designed to keep us from believing this truth. The only way we can believe is via the media of The Word of God, anointed by the Holy Spirit.

Revelation 5:6 shows us the Lamb, Who is the Word of God, and the seven Spirits of God (the sevenfold Holy Spirit), Who have been sent on duty far and wide into all the earth (Amplified Bible).

There is another world. Jesus spoke of it often. It is invisible to our earthly eyes, but it is more real than what our earthly eyes can see. The good news is that in this invisible world, the Kingdom of God and King Jesus reign! That means that everything will be all right.

You can only see this picture from "up here." "Up here" also puts us into the presence of God, which is our reward while we are being patient in our circumstances.

"Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: 'Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree'" (Galatians 3:13).
